Jump Host (JH)
Overview
Jump Host, also referred to as JH or jumphost, is the access point for
self-hosted hosts in Munich.
Use it as the intermediate system before accessing internal host UIs or shells.
Related host note: pve1.
Access
- Connect to the jump host over RDP.
- Sign in with your personal
firstname.lastnamecredentials. - From the jump host, access internal hosts by their internal address.
- For web UIs, open the target host IP in a browser running on the jump host.
- Use the relevant admin account for the next step of accessing the target self-hosted host.
Specific host URLs, IPs, and credential locations are not documented here yet. Add them when confirmed.
Common Tasks
Reach an internal web UI
- Connect to the jump host.
- Sign in with your personal
firstname.lastnamecredentials. - Open a browser session on the jump host.
- Navigate to the internal IP of the target host.
- Sign in to the target host with the relevant admin account.
Reach an internal shell

firstname.lastnamecredentials. - From there, open the shell session to the target internal host.

Troubleshooting
- If a Munich self-hosted host is unreachable directly from your workstation, retry from the jump host first.
- If the host UI loads only from inside the jump host browser, document that behavior on the target host note as the expected access path.
- If access details are missing for a specific host, add a follow-up placeholder on that host note instead of guessing.
