Deal Signal Sourcing

Overview

This service processes any inbound newsletter emails which sourcing.bot@hvcapital.com has subscribed to, managed by PO Vincent Coon, and extracts deal signals relevant to the Growth team and parses the results into a private Affinity list.

Troubleshooting

The single known issue is the initially low accuracy of <company_name> -> <company_domain> resolution, because newsletters rarely specify the domain, a common UID. This has incrementally been raised to about 99%.

Perplexity is involved in this resolution and tends to fail. During development and the rounds of improvement, the project owner Vincent was unresponsive to all CTAs, even when other stakeholders were actively involved. If he asks “why did this not catch X”, you may safely tell him blanco that Perplexity had failed.
